Hi folks:
Yes it finally happened, my Viking range let me down. After a number of years the griddle stopped working. Not too much to tell about the repair though. After a bit of disassembly of the range top I was able to check for continuity through the griddle igniter and as I suspected it showed “open”.
As you know these Viking units are expensive so I don’t like to skimp on parts. After a bit of Internet surfing I settled on Appliance Parts Pros for an OEM replacement part. They quickly supplied me with a PB040001 igniter for a fair price.
Not much left to tell, 15 minutes after the part arrived the griddle was up and running again.
Cheers,
Brian
