John V Agua Dulce , CA June 12, 2015 Oven wouldn't heat properly I researched online and found it was common to have ignitors go out after 5 years of use. I ordered both as recommended and proceeded with the repair. I had a difficult time removing the door from the Viking and went back to read on the internet. I found several posts that referenced the door did not have to be removed. Once that was established the repair went very smoothly. The front screw on the left igniter required an angled screwdriver but other than that it was very fast and straight forward. The total time was less than 15 minutes to ignition. Change them both no matter what. Read More... 8 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Brian S Federal Way , WA January 24, 2015 Viking griddle died Hi folks: Yes it finally happened, my Viking range let me down. After a number of years the griddle stopped working. Not too much to tell about the repair though. After a bit of disassembly of the range top I was able to check for continuity through the griddle igniter and as I suspected it showed “open”. As you know these Viking units are expensive so I don’t like to skimp on parts. After a bit of Internet surfing I settled on Appliance Parts Pros for an OEM replacement part. They quickly supplied me with a PB040001 igniter for a fair price. Not much left to tell, 15 minutes after the part arrived the griddle was up and running again.
