First, checked for sites found by googling my problem. Viewed your VERY helpful site videos describing possible problems and repairs--these were very good. Found the lid switch to be defective, and checked the pump--which turned but was worn. Ordered both parts, received them in a couple of days; replaced them, and washed clothes. Many thanks.
