After the Samsung front loading washing machine began routinely leaking with either large loads, or a "heavy soil" setting, I traced the leak to a torn door boot seal. Unfortunately, the model number inside the door had been worn off, and we could not find our owners manual. After moving the washer to clean water underneath the unit, we did find another model number sticker on the back of the washer. This helped us to order the right part.
We followed a YouTube video for another Samsung front loading washer, and followed the general procedure described (our model was slightly different). The two challenges with the install were removing and re-installing the door boot retaining rings. The outer ring (just inside the door) had rusted and broke when we attempted the re-install. The inner ring (inside the unit) had a screw head that was difficult to access without a really short screwdriver, or a very small wrench.
We took the opportunity to clean all of the parts as we reassembled the unit, and the washer looks nearly new. We are waiting on the outer door boot seal retaining ring before we test the unit. However, the door boot seal was a perfect fit, and "feels" sturdier than the original seal.
