My GE Profile cooktop is kind of old model and it has a downdraft ventilator. I searched on youtube and did not find a video about repairing the exact same type. I don't know how to detach the motor part from the cooktop, then I can open the cooktop to take the surface off. I spent some time to figure out how to do it. Once I took the cooktop out and opened the surface, the remaining job was easy, just time-consuming. I replaced two switches and both of them work well. I am very happy with this purchase.
