I ended up replacing both water valves since the fridge had sat unused for a long time not running and they had rotted. The videos and directions on the site are great. When you take off the wires watch which wire (white or colored) goes in which direction.
Also, when I pushed the valves in, I kinked a tube. A kinked tube, just like a kinked garden hose, does not flow. So I ended up having to take it apart again trying to find the problem and that's when I found the link and had to cut it out and it worked great after that.
I swear I know very little about appliances and stuff but with this website and the videos it really is cheaper and easier than you think
