Electrolux Microwave Magnetron

The Magnatron is an OEM part for Frigidaire microwaves. It is the principal electronic component responsible for converting electrical energy into microwave radiation, allowing for fast and efficient cooking or heating of food.

Causes can be related to normal component fatigue over extended use. High voltage magnetron coils are also susceptible to power fluctuations or surges over time.

Symptoms of a faulty magnatron include:

• Inability of the microwave to transmit energy and heat foods
• Slow or ineffective cooking times
• Oven light working but no microwave output
• Overheating, arcing or burning smells from the unit

• Shields surrounding components from heat and sparking that can occur with a cracked or warped duct
• Helps prevent arcing, burning smells, and visible sparks inside the microwave
• Maintains proper alignment between the magnetron output and the oven waveguide
