The repair is pretty straight forward. After pulling the range out from the wall and unplugging it, I removed the oven door, and removed rack sensing bar by removing the bracket holding the top of the bar. I moved to the back of the range and took off the lower back cover. After disconnecting the sensor plug, I tied twine to the end of plug. Thes rings degrade over time due to heat and will eventually crack and dry out. Replacing them with new ones doesn't take much more than a few minutes. I just unscrewed the burner caps to expose the rings and dropped in the new ones. I recommend replacing all the rings at the same time vs just doing one or two. Read more
