The Lid Bumper is an OEM part for GE refrigerators. It is designed to provide cushioning and protection for the refrigerator lid, preventing damage and ensuring smooth, quiet closing.

Causes of a bad Lid Bumper can include deterioration over time due to frequent use, exposure to temperature variations, or damage from accidental impacts. A worn or damaged bumper may no longer provide adequate cushioning, leading to potential damage to the lid or the refrigerator itself.

Symptoms of a bad Lid Bumper include:

  • The refrigerator lid closing too hard
  • Unusual noises when closing the lid
  • Visible wear or cracks on the bumper

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

This replacement defrost heater warms the freezer's evaporator area during the automatic defrost cycle. It melts accumulated frost so air can circulate, helping maintain stable temperatures and preventing ice buildup on the back wall.

  • Heats the evaporator to clear frost and ice during defrost
  • Helps keep airflow passages and the defrost drain path open
  • Common symptoms of a failed heater: heavy frost on the back panel/coils, poor cooling or warm sections, fan noise from ice contact, cooling returns temporarily after a manual defrost
  • Typically located behind the rear freezer panel
What's included: 1 defrost heater Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; wear cut-resistant gloves
  • Access the evaporator by removing the freezer's rear panel; thaw heavy ice before removal
  • Transfer any clips/brackets and route wires exactly as original, keeping them away from plastic parts
  • After installation, ensure wiring connections are secure and the heater is not contacting plastic surfaces

This evaporator fan motor dust cap is an authentic OEM replacement part found on refrigerator and freezer fan motors. This dust cap prevents the fan motor bearing and housing from being damaged by dirt and debris. If the dust cap is cracked or broken, the fan may make loud squealing noises. If the dust cap is not removed and replaced, the fan could stop working and ultimately cause the refrigerator's temperature to be affected. To start, disconnect the power and water to the refrigerator. Remove food from the freezer so that the back panel of the freezer can be accessed to reach the fan. Remove the ice maker and set it outside the freezer. Disconnect the fan and take it out of the freezer to expose the fan's shaft and the dust cover. Pry the dust cover off and install the new one. Replace the fan and cover. Reconnect the wires and reinstall the icemaker. Put the food back in the freezer. Reconnect the power and water. The evaporator fan motor dust cap is a white plastic part that is sold individually. This dust cover is made for use in refrigerators manufactured by General Electric, Hotpoint, and Kenmore.
