Frigidaire 241682303 Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Actuator Paddle OEM Part

Removed complete housing, including the actuator to dispense ice; plastic cemented, with reinforcing strips of cloth to reinforce repair on left hand side of assembly. Then installed new actuator part from Appliance Parts, plugged in wires, then had to plastic cement the pack on back of the new actuator back on, as it had come loose. Reassembled all, and finally managed to get the water discharge tube back through the hole, than replaced the flat strip connector & replaced all screws. Works great!

Replaced both parts. only problem was reconnecting the water dispensor tube- was cut so short had trouble getting it back in the hole.

Very important to watch the on-line video showing the suggested steps. However, it was never mentioned that there is a wire hook-up for the ice dispencer actuator wich also needs to be plugged in. Simply remove the old wire clip and re-attach the new one in the same slot. Also found out during the proceedure that the pin for the ice shoot door had disengaged and had to be pressed back in the hinge to get full functionality of ice the dispencer door closure. This also greatly improved the overall dispencer operation."just like new".

The repair was made easy by a tutorial that I watched before I started. The video showed exactly what to do and what precautions to watch out for. The estimated time to complete the repair was given as to take 30-60 minutes. That was accurate as mine took about forty five minutes. I suggest to anyone who is going to make this repair to watch the video. It will save you from guessing and possibly from breaking something.

Followed online video instructions. The ordered actuators were replaced and worked fine. The most difficult portion of re-assembly was getting the 5/16" water line back through the hole for the water dispenser as it is a bit too short for easy reassembly, especially when the aged water line is less pliable than when new. Working fine now.
