Paul M Franklin , MA April 18, 2020 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE AE07000ES1 Heating element failure, drum bearing worn, blower gasket replacement, replace belt Just part replacement. Just a few screws to remove to take off top and front panels. Easy to remove drum. More screws to remove and replace heating element. More screws for bearing for drum. Driving screws into drum took some elbow grease, had to be careful not to strip the heads, did on one and replaced with one of the original screws. Replacing gasket simple, although scraping the old adhesive was a chore. Replaced the belt for good measure. As long as the motor holds out, the dryer should be ready for several more years of service. Read More... Richard G Jamestown , ND November 17, 2018 Bearing noise metal on metal I ordered the bearing kit along with a new belt. The kit was perfect everything you need is included. This made the repair easy. Also I put in a new heat coil as our dryer is 10 years old for under $100.00 for all parts why not change it out while your in there. The video was helpful as well. I have not had a dryer apart before so the step by step video instruction was a plus. The parts got here very fast. Now with the new parts installed dryer works great!!! I did get a phone estimate from an appliance company and they quoted me about 250-300 bucks for repair. (Kenmore dryer) Read More... Thomas D Mineral , VA December 04, 2015 The drum belt was cracking and making noise I noticed the belt was worn from a prior repair so I ordered one and it showed up a a few days later. Having already been into the dryer once, removal of the front panel was quick. Using a long wooden dowel gave me plenty of leverage against the spring loaded adjuster pulley. I had the belt changed in less than 5 minutes. Total time from start to finish was about 20 minutes. (This is also a great time to clean and vacuum out any lint). Then re-installed the front panel!
