Richard R Glendora , CA November 08, 2015 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer FAFW3801LW2 I kept getting "e90" error code and washer wouldn't start washing cycle After doing online research about this particular error code I found www.appliancepartspros.com. On the site I searched my washing machine's model number and I found the correct part (in my case, it was the main control board) at a discounted price. I figured that with their no hassle return policy it was a no brainer trying to replace the part myself. The process went fairly smooth. If you're replacing this part yourself, be sure to disconnect your machine from the power outlet first to avoid electrocution and then remove the top cover. Unscrew the old control board and pay close attention to where each of the wires go to on the board. Take a picture of the old part while it's still attached (for reference) then go ahead and disconnect the old wires and attach the new wires from the new control board one at a time, so you don't get the slots mixed up. Also, be sure to remove the digital display (pops out easily) and the main selector knob insert stick and the clear plastic spacers and attach to new board. Put all screws back in and close cover back up and secure with screws. Plug machine into power and set wash cycle. All fixed for me and running great now! Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com! Take your time and move one wire harness at a time from the old to new board to avoid crossing wires. Nearly impossible to do wrong. Read More... Allison C Garner , NC September 26, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Washer FAFW3801LW2 E43 Having replaced the door latch and taken apart the drain catch to clean it out, I followed by replacing the control board. It was fairly easy to get to except for having to carefully cut the retainers from the wires on the back of the board's box. I also suggest that one take photos of the wiring before taking it apart. It's not that hard but they could get confusing. Also, the catch tabs some of the wire plugs require you to press them, others you need to lift the tab away from the wires. We've run 6-8 loads since repairing it. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
