David W Lancaster , PA January 26, 2024 H1 code I thoroughly cleaned the condenser and condenser fan and made sure they were fully operational and the compressor was also still good, I then removed the control housing and checked the damper motor for continuity. Knowing all were in good shape process of elimination told me the control assembly and or the thermistor were bad. The thermistor is very inexpensive and if you're replacing the control you should also replace the thermistor which reads both the freezer and the refrigerator and are housed in the same housing as the control and all are easy to replace and worth the time! Start to finish including troubleshooting and cleaning, it took about an hour. The fridge works like new . By the way the problem occurred due to a power surge after 8hrs without power.
