Regina L Spring , TX July 01, 2017 Fridge was getting warm and not coolimg I had a friend and a repair guy tell me it was the start relay that needed to be replaced, which was an easy fix. My friend said just to unplug the start relay, replace it with the new one, and it should be good. I've never tried to repair a fridge, and that was the easiest repair ever. Sharon L R Flat Gap , KY November 10, 2016 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE BOUGHT 2009. There was a clicking when the compressor tried to start it would try to start and it would take from three minuted to 15 minutes before it would kick on sometimes not at all. I pulled the fridge out and watched it then went on youtube.com and researched problems and how people fixed their problem. Most it did but one or two in reviews had no success. I decided it was the controller. I also ordered the capacitor just in case and that it was just as old as the bad controller. I also did not want to pay shipping and handling again if the capacitor was bad or went bad in the future. I worked out just great. Had it cleaned up and installed works like a new one again. October 2016. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

Edward S Columbus , NC January 02, 2016 Starter failure My "basement "fridge" quit after a lightning strike. Went to youtube and looked at some videos on repairing and trouble shooting. It seemed like the starter was the most logical problem. Went to the APP site and ordered starter. Received it in three days, installed it and now it works. What I really appreciated is APP's parts verification. Entering model numbers to verify proper part with a backup check makes it almost fool proof. Great service, will buy all my parts from APP Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers
