Edward G Cabot , AR December 15, 2019 Appliance: Frigidaire Electric Range FFEF3016TSC Oven control and clock did not operate Replaced the oven controller. This needed the only removal of six hex screws securing the back guard rear shield, two-wire plugs on the control unit, and four Phillips screws. All are easily accessible. The only difficulty came from an apparent model design change that separated the control unit and the overlay - the labels for the control buttons (items 20 and 20a in the backyard parts diagram). Mine is a single unit (the overlay could not be removed without damage) led to the assumption that the replacement control would include the overlay - which it did not. Rather than ordering and waiting for a new overlay, the new controller boards (there are two) were released from that holder and installed in the old holder which had the overlay. Not difficult, but it would have been better to not need to do it. When replacing the oven control on this model, check whether the overlay and controller are separate. Robert R Littleton , NC October 25, 2025 The control panel was bad upper boiler stopped working Replaced control panel. Was very quick and easy 4 screws hold the panel. 2 simple plugs, fitted right back in they are designed differently so you can’t make a mistake where they fit. Removing the rear cover is very simple also 6 screw nuts. Results: Stove works fine boiler works lower oven works. I made the decision to order the panel and try replacing it it was about a hundred dollar repair. If I had contacted an appliance expert to come fix it. It would have cost at least that much for the visit. Before the repair would have been done. They would have probably had a mark up on the part. And then their added labor. I would estimate the repair to be $250 plus. To replace the stove boiler, oven. Would have been $700-$1000. So yes Appliance parts was and will be always be a 1st choice option. Read More...
