The Heater Assembly is an OEM part for Frigidaire laundry centers. It functions to safely provide the heat necessary for multiple laundry cycle options including both washer and dryer modes. The assembly works through an electric heating element to heat filtered air throughout clothing loads in the combined washer/dryer unit.
Causes of a failing heater assembly can include cracks or breaks in the coil insulating material allowing short circuits over many uses. Mineral buildup on heating surfaces can reduce heat transfer efficiency as well.
