Frigidaire 316531953 Range Glass Cooktop Surface OEM Part

I ordered the replacement part through the help of a tech from appliancepartspros.com and my stove top shipped within 2 business days. After watching a short you tube video I had gained the confidence to install the part myself and was able to do so with very little difficulty.

I replaced the glass top

Removed old top (4 main screws and then 2 screws removing the burner brackets). Transferred insulation and a couple brackets from old top to new top. Installed new top. Took about 90 minutes, much of which was just getting the screws loosened (use a square head!). It's also fairly awkward getting the burner brackets attached (strongly recommend having someone help hold the cook top up).

Part wasn't covered under warranty so I researched Internet and found the replacement at appliance parts pro ( cheapest anywhere) and had it delivered within 2 days. Part was correct and installed within 15 minutes.

I ordered my new stove top on Friday morning and received it by the following Tuesday. The stove top shipped the same day. Installation was pretty easy. The most difficult part was reattaching the burners to the new top. I had my wife help hold them in place while I put the screws in. I watched a couple videos on YouTube to help guide me thru it since I had never done this before. It only took about 30 minutes to complete the job from start to finish.
