I unplugged the stove. I opened the oven door and removed the two srews holding the front of the cooktop to the stove. I raise the cooktop then remove the four screws holding the burners to the cooktop. I remove the four screws from the hinges then I removed the cooktop. Ordered a new glass stove top. Installation was extremely easy! Need 2 people to hold & maneuver the part, but it was very easy to hook in & install. Don't forget to use the back silver clips/brackets from the old stovetop or purchase new ones; they don't come with the glass stovetop. Also don't forget to uninstall the metal flashing strip in the front part of the stovetop. Unscrew the one from the old stovetop or purchase a new one.
