My teenaged son took the old washer door off and apart. He replaced our glass from our washer onto the new doors and attached it to the hinge. These doors are compatible with Kenmore washer even though it says Frigidaire. Katharine S North Andover , MA September 28, 2019 Appliance: Model AFFINITY WASHER 2014 MODEL Washer door internal plastic structures warped and then broke for the second time I had to replace the two plastic outer frames and the hinge assembly. It was no problem to fix but such a bummer that it had broken in the same way- twice. The glass window is so heavy- too heavy for the internal plastic parts. My family drys their own laundry- kids included so I’m afraid this machine requires a gentler touch. Does a good job washing though! I was pleased to have a professional site that had parts for my appliances I removed the door assembly and unscrewed the whole assembly, then removed the damaged outer ring and replaced it with the new one. Kyle C Sparks , NV April 15, 2023 Broken hinge and door panels. Remove 3 screws on the hinge, lift up, and remove the door from washer. Remove all screws and latch from inner panel. Use a thin scraper or pry bar to pop the inner and outer door apart. Replace necessary parts and put white lithium grease on hinge bushings and reverse order to put back together. Read More...
