Not exactly sure which one fixed it but in guessing the pc board and the thermistor wasnt but $15.00 or something so we decided just to change it too .. And use a small piece of masking tape on small screws removi g the pc board and you wo t have to fight with it so much . And you can number your wires or we just unscrewed board and took one wire at a time and connected on other board Oh , and unplug before you start . :-) Lisa from Mississippi . David W Flemington , WV September 04, 2016 Compressor would not shut off when you turned unit off Replaced the pc board,took front off of unit and removed 4 screws pulled unit from case to inside of house from there it's easy to get to .Just be sure to label the wires with numbers on pc board with masking tape makes it a breeze to put them back in the correct spots. Myles T Moulton , AL July 17, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire FRA256SV218 The compressor ran constantly even with the power turned off A quick Google search convinced me that the relay for the compressor had gone bad. This required replacing the whole main control board. Ordered parts at 2300 on a Monday and had the new parts and a working air conditioner on Wednesday. Read More...
