Arthur F Windcrest , TX October 28, 2023 Appliance: Electrolux Freezer FFVU21F4QWA The freezer door would not open completely since the hinge bearing was broken. I went online and determined the parts I needed from the sites online diagram and ordered the parts, when they arrived at the house, I removed the door which consisted of taking out two screws and two bolts. I pulled off the broken part by hand, cleaned the area with a paper towel and pushed in the new part. I also cleaned the lower grill on the front of the freezer since I had removed it. Lightly greased the surface of the parts and set the door back in place. Reattaching the two bolts and two screws and all was working as it should. I'm happy, the wife is happy and the cost for parts and shipping was only $32.47. No way could have hired a repair tech to do this work for anything close to this cost. Read More...
