Charles M Laurens , SC November 24, 2017 I had 2 problems not producing cube ice and a water leak on floor behind refrigerator. After reading problems and how people solved them I determined the solenoid and yoke assembly as well as the water valve needed replacing. I'm 79 years old so I didn't feel like getting on floor to replace. I held the parts until 19 and 21 year old grandsons were here to do the replacing. I had watched the video and knew it wasn't going to be real difficult. After they got here for Thanksgiving I showed them the parts then the video on replacing. They did the water valve first and then the solenoid. One decided to look again at the solenoid replacement to get an answer. By the time we watched it his brother had already figured the placement out. Thanks to my grandsons for saving me the cost of a repairman coming out. Everything seems to be operating properly. They were rewarded but not at refrigeration repairmen rates. Patrick P Martins Ferry , OH May 22, 2016 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FRS26R4CW1 Auger motor making grinding noise Replaced motor and new solenoid and yoke assembly, motor ran fine but Ice maker did not make Ice, water was turned on and the wire off and on latch was is the down position (on). Disconnected the water line from the Ice maker tray, ice had formed in the line while I was waiting for my parts (about 5 days), I would suggest disconnecting the water line at the feed end were your shut off valve is located and allow water to drain out of line. I had to remove Ice tray and submerge it pan of hot water which was more work than I intended to do, everything is OK. While looking for the correct replacement I noticed the ability to chat with a tech. The tech suggested starting with the selonoid. We ordered the part and installed. Now it works perdectly! Margaret W Ormond Beach , FL April 24, 2017 Ice maker giving only crushed ice Contacted Appliance Parts Pro (after speaking to Frigidaire Customer Service...told me I needed a new Tray...Didn't think I did.) Appliance Parts Pro said I needed an Ice Maker Solenoide AND they had a video I could watch to replace the part! Fantastic service and couldn't have done it myself without the video.
