Description

This mechanical defrost timer advances the refrigerator's defrost cycle to help prevent excessive frost and ice buildup on the evaporator. Replaces a failed timer to restore automatic defrosting and more consistent cooling. What it does:

• Cycles the refrigerator between cooling and defrost modes on a timed schedule
• Initiates heater and compressor changes to melt frost accumulation
• Common symptom: heavy frost or ice on the evaporator or inside freezer compartment
• Common symptom: unit runs continuously or cooling performance is inconsistent
