This safety valve controls gas flow to the oven burner, opening only when the ignition system calls for heat. Replacing a weak or stuck valve restores reliable ignition and consistent oven temperatures for safe, dependable baking and roasting. What it does:

• Regulates and shuts off gas to the oven burner circuit
• Works with the igniter; opens only when proper current is present
• Fails closed to help prevent unlit gas from entering the oven
• Common symptoms may include: oven won't heat, intermittent heating, very long preheat, or a weak/unstable flame

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Label and transfer all tubing and wires from the original valve one-for-one
• Support flare fittings with two wrenches; use thread sealant only on NPT threads (never on flare connections)
• After installation, restore gas and check every joint for leaks with an approved leak-detection solution
