Stephen E Phila , PA August 13, 2014 Appliance: Frigidaire Refrigerator FRS26ZTHB5 My ice maker was only making half the amount of ice per tray and the ice cubes were hollow the door water dispenser only worked some time First, I had several issues with my refrigerator. They all happened rather quickly. First the water dispenser had intermittent failures, then the ice maker started making only half trays of hollow ice. What made me decide to make the repairs was when water started leaking on the floor in front of the freezer. Water was actually coming from the freezer. I pulled the frig out from the wall. I found the condenser fan not working. I thought this caused the freezer to work harder and not defrosting properly which lead to the water leaking inside and on the floor. I replace the condenser fan and both solenoid water valves. I am now making full trays of solid ice and getting excellent water through the door. But I still have water leaking inside the freezer. I now think my evaporator condensate drain is clogged. I will keep you posted on those repairs. Ron C Lyman , ME March 03, 2015 Appliance: Model ICEMAKER KIT COMMON TO MANY REFRIGERATORS. Cold weather caused icemaker valve to crack Only challenge was to find the correct valve. They are associated with the ice maker kit (many), not the refrigerator, so make/model not of value. Fortunately the part had identifying numbers that a Google search matched to a part from Appliance Parts Pros, a company that I have used frequently in the past. Their good pictures confirmed that I could expect the correct part. Ordered a replacement. I am a frequent on-line consumer, however; I was dumbfounded when the part I ordered arrived in my mail box the next day!!!! Incredible work guys, thanks a lot. Rachel M Mattoon , IL December 01, 2015 Fridgidare ice maker not workingh After moving a perfectly good 10yr old refrigerator to the basement we could not get it to make ice. So we looked around on the Internet at what the problem could be i.e. Thermostat, mechanics, clogged waterline etc.. We discovered our water valve was not working properly, honestly it probably was not doing so great before but what do I know. I filled the ice maker with water by hand. A couple hours later It ejected it like usual. Done deal right? Wrongo the maker started to make shells of ice and half full ice. Against my husbands wishes I ordered the part. It came super fast like they were reading my mind fast! He begrudgingly put the part on, took him 5 min. And 24hrs later we had ice! Big huge ice cubes like when the fridge was brand new. Such awesome ice that we are thinking we may not hook up the new fridges ice maker. Crazy what a $24 part will do.
