After moving a perfectly good 10yr old refrigerator to the basement we could not get it to make ice. So we looked around on the Internet at what the problem could be i.e. Thermostat,mechanics,clogged waterline etc.. We discovered our water valve was not working properly, honestly it probably was not doing so great before but what do I know. I filled the ice maker with water by hand. A couple hours later It ejected it like usual. Done deal right? Wrongo the maker started to make shells of ice and half full ice. Against my husbands wishes I ordered the part. It came super fast like they were reading my mind fast! He begrudgingly put the part on, took him 5 min. And 24hrs later we had ice! Big huge ice cubes like when the fridge was brand new. Such awesome ice that we are thinking we may not hook up the new fridges ice maker. Crazy what a $24 part will do.
