This infinite switch controls an electric cooktop's surface burner by varying power to the element, letting you dial in and maintain precise heat. Replacing a failed switch restores smooth temperature adjustment and reliable simmer-to-boil performance. What it does:

Regulates AC power to the surface element based on the knob setting
Restores full range of heat levels from low simmer to high
Common failure symptoms: no heat, stuck on high, erratic temperature, or burner won't turn off
Can correct intermittent heating or a knob that turns without changing heat

What's included:

One surface burner infinite switch

Install notes:

Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
Remove the control knob and access the console/panel to reach the switch
Transfer wires to the matching terminals on the new switch; secure the switch to the panel
Reassemble, restore power, and test the burner through all settings
