Nelson T Mobile , AL April 26, 2016 Plastic console capture tabs and switch tabs broke plastic switch split Unplugged the dryer. Disconnected the exhaust hose w/ 5/16" nut driver. Removed all knobs. Removed 3 Phillips head screws behind the console. Removed all switches and controls by lifting locking tabs and turning counter clockwise. Installed switches and controls into new console by inserting into hole(s) and turning clockwise until locking tab engaged. Positioned console capture tabs back in their slots and snapped console back in place with the back plate. Re installed the tree screws. Re connected the exhaust hose and plugged the dryer back in. Test all switches and controls. Wife thinks I'm smarter than Einstein and now I'm a hero. Richard K Alexandria , VA November 24, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DWSR483EG9WW Switches on control panel were broken out of their sockets I popped off the control panel and found that 2 switches had been pushed in, breaking their plastic retainer cups. I determined that glue would not help the situation, so ordered the plastic control panel (about $100). It arrived the next day and it literally took less time to twist in the switches and attach the panel than it took to write this review. Everything is good.
