This genuine OEM part is a control panel for washers. Over time, a backsplash assembly can deteriorate due to excessive wear and tear. If the assembly is cracked or visibly damaged and is no longer functioning properly, it will need to be replaced.To replace this part, start by making sure the washer is unplugged. After that, proceed to remove the backsplash panel using a screwdriver or putty knife to pry the plastic cover off of the washer. Once removed, set it to the side and proceed to replace it with the new backsplash assembly by snapping it into its mounting brackets. This authentic replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand appliances.
