Ge WR2X7213 Door Stop OEM Part

I emptied door shelves and used plastic sheet to close off refrigerator. The repair was done with refrigerator running. I removed door and changed riser cam and shim. Then replaced door. It took maybe 45 minutes from start to finish. If I did the job again it would be completed in 30 minutes or less. The videos are informative. Thank You

This is my parent's refrigerator but luckily my brother and I were both there when it happened. I found the manual and researched on the parts website to find the parts we needed. Dad, 88, wanted to call the appliance repairman but we convinced him to let us give it try. Two days later the parts arrived, my brother and sister-in-law fixed the door and Dad saved $100. He is happy and we thank you for the quick service!

Replaced broken cam riser. Ordered new part (plus suggested "shim" and "door stop"). While I did not need anything but the cam riser, appreciate the suggestion of potential additional parts needed. Had to request assistance as the old cam riser was secured with a pop rivet versus a screw. Building engineer drilled out the pop rivet and replaced with a screw and bolt successfully.

Replaced door hinge assembly, and doorstop. Did not really know what was entailed in fixing the problem. Simple and inexpensive to order the needed parts, and an easy fix to make once parts arrived. It is a simple job, but was very impressed with the how-to video, to bring great confidence in doing the project myself.
