Thomas R Goshen , NY December 31, 2023 Appliance: General Electric Washer GTW680BSJ4WS Multiple error codes. The unit was not switching from wash to spin. I changed the washer mode shifter cleared all the codes and ran it through all the test. It agitated and spun no issues but would still not switch from wash to spin. Although it says not to do it I placed a wet towel in the basket and ran the spin test again and it worked no issue I then ran the machine on a normal cycle and it functions fine, no issue since. I’m unsure of the reason for this but a win is a win. The new shifter was easy to install and you only need a 3/8 inch ratchet with an extension.
