Curt C Jackson , MI September 02, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DCVH660EH0GG Felt trap duct dislodged from slot and bearing slides and rear drum sleeve worn Selected and ordered parts from online drawings. Watched videos showing how to make repair. Replaced worn parts with new ones. Suggested improvement: Videos didn't show my model (I know there are many models, showing all is probably not possible). In case of Felt the video showed a Maytag dryer when my model was GE. In my case Felt had torn and dislodge from slot so I didn't know exactly how it should be installed. A simple picture of the installed Item would help. Also the parts list should give number of each item required. The bearing slides require 2 of each type, the drawing only shows one and the parts list doesn't say 2 required. Other sites did specify this. Joseph T Mason , MI December 14, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DHDVH66EH3BB Low rumble noise from dryer when operating Followed the video instructions for replacing the front bearing slides, found the Drum Support Bearing worn beyond reuse. Decided since it was going to be apart anyway I would replace the rear Drum Bearing (no visible reason), the belt (even though it wasn't broken or visibly worn) and the Trap duct Felt because i didn't want to get into again for a while, Having said that it really isn't a bad job, the dryer comes apart with just a few fasteners and its a pretty simple procedure. The time it takes to do the job is less than what is stated but took extra time in cleaning each part of lint & dirt buildup as I went, Oh, don't forget to put the belt on with the grooves toward the drum because if you don't the drum will not turn with a load in it and you'll spend an extra 10 minutes correcting your mistake! ;-) Read More... 6 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Nut Drivers, Screwdrivers
Robert L Cary , NC May 24, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DPVH890EJ0MG Drum would not rotate intermittently. The Dryer is 10 years old GE Front Load DPVH890JEMG. The drum would intermittently not rotate at the beginning of a cycle and occasionally would rotate but then start and stop throughout the cycle. I did not check error codes, but the windings on the motor were black. So it seemed reasonable that the motor was overheating and sending a signal to the control board to stop. There is one screw under the knob and 9 screws on the front to get inside. I decided to replace the bearings, capacitor, belt and slides while I was in there because they were 10 years old and relatively cheap. Everything snapped in pretty easily and now it works. I was really hoping that it wasn't the control board and so far it seems that it wasn't. They weren't able to come fix it till Wednesday. So Sunday night I search for a parts supplier. Your website came up first. I entered the model# and all parts needed and how to fix video came up. I ordered the parts with a very reasonable overnight delivery charge. The parts came in on Tuesday. I clicked on the how to fix video and the dryer was fixed in less than an hour. I saved $200 by fixing it myself. Thank you very much, Gary Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
