Terry B Sacramento , CA January 31, 2017 Dishwasher wasn't cleaning well spots and food still attached kind of problems My daughter and I went to Youtube and found an extremely well presented video on how to clean our exact make and model of dishwasher. We live in a newly rented house, new to us, not new. The dishwasher was an unholy nightmare of filth, clogged filters, calcium deposits coating and blocking in literal heaps, discovered when taken apart. The miracle really was that the dishwasher cleaned at all. We cleaned and scraped everything thoroughly, the fine filter and the sump filter as well but decided replacement was the appropriate measure, not least that these were the only 2 filters. I want to pause here and say APPLIANCE PARTS PROS ARE ROCKSTARS OF SHIPPING! I mean put others to shame, make me believe in magic kind of ROCKSTARS OF SHIPPING! I place an order in the afternoon IN California (I've done this twice now), by nightfall it's shipped and the next day it arrives FROM Kentucky! Are you kidding me? This is regular ol' shipping. I didn't expedite, I didn't Rush. I just said Ship. You guys are AWESOME!!! Oh! and the dishwasher has happily regained it's cleaning efficiency. Parts were perfect, fit correctly and function well. We are quite happy. Read More... 82 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
Kateri G Vista , CA September 18, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher PDW7880G00SS Water was leaking from base water was not draining from tub extreme build up of mineral deposits Removed and cleaned all inside components of dishwasher. Replaced the sump inlet and fine filter. I decided to complete the repair myself when my appliance repairman did not want to help me. The videos from Appliance Parts Pro are AMAZING!!!! Gave me the confidence to do the repair myself (had to fully uninstall the machine and flip it over). THANK YOU!!! Kevin W Rochester , MA January 20, 2016 $1000 dishwasher didn't clean dishes Our GE was installed about 8 years ago and was AWESOME for much of its early life. However, progressively its cleaning ability diminished. By replacing all the spray arms (clogged with debris), filters, drain hose, and sump...this dishwasher cleans like it did when it was new! Cost was around $100 (also replaced a wheel and the silverware basket) and labor was relatively simple. And to think...my mother-in-law said, "Wouldn't it just be easier to buy a new one?!?". Stephen S Napa , CA August 06, 2016 Wasn't washing well leaving food and streaks on glasses plates Your videos were excellent, and explained how to remove parts to get to the problem. The sump was breaking up, loaded with white stuff which broke off and was clogging the spray arms with bits of stuff. I ordered a new sump, a fine filter, and lower spray arm which mine was almost totally clogged. Another video showed me how to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet and replace the sump with my wife's help. After replacing these parts, I ran the machine without a load. The first load of dishes showed that it was performing like new. My wife's delighted. I can't say enough good things for your company. Totally five stars!!
