Deborah S Seminole , FL October 27, 2021 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GSD6200G00BB My dishwasher stopped draining. I replaced the Drain Pump. Replacing the drain pump itself wasn't more than a 15-minute job. Most of the time on my project was extracting my dishwasher from underneath the counter. If I hadn't had this particular situation, I estimate the total project would have taken no more than an hour. With all the "How To" Videos offered by Appliance Parts Pros, I won't hesitate to attempt to fix any appliance going forward! The part only cost me $64.00. If I hadn't fixed it myself, I would have paid a minimum of $150 - $300 for a repairman OR I would have had to buy a new dishwasher for no less than $400, especially during the "Pandemic shortage" situation! Thank you Appliance Parts Pros! :) Read More... 1 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 2+ hours Tools: Adjustable Wrench, Screwdrivers

Robert T Redwood City , CA February 23, 2019 Wasn’t draining completely The flapper valve wasn’t closing completely due to blockage by a small amount of debris. I throughly cleaned the filters, flapper and flapper check valve. Upon testing this had corrected the problem. As this unit is in a location making it difficult to remove, I elected to replace the flapper and flapper check valve with new ones. The excessive repair time was due to the difficulty in accessing the unit and time spent thoroughly cleaning it. Actual time to replace both flapper valves was less than 30 minutes. Read More... Filip G Lynchburg , VA August 27, 2018 Appliance: Model GE TRITON3 Water not drained at end of cycle. Purchased recommended 'likely' parts, tripped breaker, drained manually, disconnected water supply under machine & sewer connection at sink, removed washer from under counter, tilted on its side (some hoses still connected), disassembled drain pump and found broken plastic chopstick jammed inside. Removed plastic fragment, replaced one-way check valve (was a bit enlarged), and reassembled drain pump. Made mistake of refilling with water before tightening/assembling items inside tub (especially the hub-nut) - ended up leaking on the floor. Reassembled and it works as good as new. Instructions are not clear on coarse filter (perforated metal, it 502); I couldn't get it out (but see https://tinyurl.com/ydbfduoy). My model appears to lack piston & nut assembly - couldn't locate it. I will rebuild pump (pump seal & impeller kit) when I get it. Read More...
