Wayne B Belvidere , IL November 07, 2015 Ice dispenser broke and won't shut off freezer shelf support broke from sliding ice maker in and out all the time The hinge broke on the ice dispenser funnel and housing. I took them off and replace them, putting the old switches and bulb in the new housing. It took some time to put the return spring back because it does not appear in the assembly diagram. Once working, it secures to the door with 4 screws, and worked as it should. The support slide inside the freezer is held with two 1/4 in screws that were taken off with a nut driver. the rear screw is hard to get at. The new bracket just screws on, and works as intended. Pamela G Henderson , NV October 05, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator ESH25XGRECC Warped ice dispenser biscuit As anyone with this model knows, the water line frequently freezes. Unfortunately, my husband used the hair dryer right on the dispenser biscuit and warped it. I watched the video on replacing this part, and decided it was pretty simple, so I also ordered a housing shield, just in case, and was glad I did, as ours was cracked and would have completely broken soon. I followed the video instructions and replaced both parts pretty easily. Thanks for the great instructional video! Read More...
