Daniel M Winnetka , CA September 16, 2015 Mold discovered on ice door Initially cleaned -wife using smaller hands. Better idea to review why there is no SOP on the matter, and replace the part. While pricing the door discovered nice pricing on drip tray, and while at it the touch pad was cracking, as well as the freezer slide out handles broke (and we thought they were just covers), so bought all we thought we could use. Disassembly was a little concerning due to never disassembled since bought. But all was easy enough. Using a pry-tool putty knife we disengaged the bezel. Unscrewed the control pad. Ice door was an easy snap out /in. Touch pad was connector-ized (no brainier there), all else simple swap and or snap back. Notes: wiring held by masking tape. Suggest take a picture before assembly, then reassemble using picture as guilde. Bezel a little challenging to snap back in. Be patient while working it to clear the little obstacles as it may require a sense of an even approach. Michael C Silver Spring , MD June 08, 2020 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator PSW26SGRBSS My freezer runs between 19 20 degrees and fridge section around 46 degrees. Cleaned the condenser filter - Condenser fan is good. Checked the compressor. Everything on the outside looks good. I noticed that the air in the Freezer is not moving (couldn't feel the air blowing). Research tells me that the fan in the freezer is not working. Then search for the fan part in the freezer and ordered the Evaporator fan motor. Watching the video on how to change the video on how to change the evaporator fan motor. the removing of the ice maker really helped (1st time doing this.) It really helped. I couldn't find the "red" cable splice connector, I then resort to use the "red" plug instead. Once the cables crimped on to the connectors. Re-install everything. my freezer is cold again running at 0 and fridge at 34. Taking apart the ice maker and gain access to the fan motor was a little bit challenge, but is not hard to do.. Just keep track of the nuts. I told my wife - no leftover nut is a good sign.
