Daniel M Poplar , WI July 24, 2015 Dishwasher appeared to be working ok but machine did not drain and dishes were not clean Slid machine out from under counter, unplugged, tipped unit on its face and removed the pump assembly from the motor (two large hose clamps secure the pump). Found the stainless steel impeller that chops and food before it enters the drain/pump had broken off its drive shaft. Ordered a new impeller/seal assembly, installed it (the only tricky part was the assembly cover was left-hand threads, but you could see that if you looked closely at the threads that were exposed), installed the new parts, and it all works great, now. Al P Defuniak Springs , FL November 01, 2021 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GSD3300N00WW The dishwasher would not drain Watched several videos on how to take the dishwasher apart before attempting to repair it. As in all cases when taking something apart, things fall out that you need to figure out where they go. Diagrams are good if you can follow them..found several parts that needed to be replaced after taking the dishwasher apart not related to the original problem..ordered replacement parts..replacing parts did not take long but had to verify for leaks..The dishwasher is working again..**Note: Before attempting to repair any appliance-turn off the circuit breaker (verify with meter) and a water supply if connected..being mechanically inclined would be a plus. If controlled by an electronic board, call a certified repair service. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Nut Drivers, Pliers, Screwdrivers
