The hardest part of job was removing the dishwasher from the its spot in cabinets. The info on site made replacing parts easy. Ryan H East Dundee , IL September 22, 2014 Sump inlet had deterioriated and water would no longer drain from dishwasher Repair was very easy. Disconnected water, electric and drain line, removed dishwasher. Removed the sump inlet cover. Gained access to the bottom of the dishwasher. Removed two hose clamps from the sump. Removed the old sump. Cleaned the area. Inserted the new sump and set it in place. Reinstalled the hose clamps. Reinstalled the sump inlet cover. Reinstalled the dishwasher and tested for leaks. Michael T Fort Smith , AR March 18, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GHDA480N10BB Mice had chewed a hole in the rubber sump inlet Ordered a new Sump Inlet and replaced it. It wasn't terribly hard. Luckily the old model of GE dishwasher I had still had a parts diagram graphic underneath the unit from the factory. Otherwise I would've never figured out how to release the spray arm. Unlike most dishwashers nowadays, the unit I had did not just pop off.
