Washer will not turn on Remove the 2 screws that hold on the front cover just above the washer, the control board is in front of you. Remove the 2 small screws that secure the board, they are star screws, very small ones, do not drop them, for they will fall into the washer tub. Take a picture of the wiring harness, press the 2 tabs on each side of the board, left and right side, the board will pop out. replace the wiring harness, wiring harness has tabs that hold them in place. Also, check the magnetic lid switch, wiring connector is in a bad spot and will break. Frances D Virginia Beach , VA June 24, 2022 Appliance: Model GUD27GSSMOWW 1 COST: $91.3 GE washer machine lid lock no longer working Unplugged the machine, Removed 2 screws to the left top rim inside of machine, fished out, remove the old switch and attached new one. Aligned to screw holes and screwed back into place. Plugged back in the machine. Works perfectly! Shout out to Holly who made sure I got the right part since the model number was slightly different.
