Frank V West Windsor , NJ July 05, 2015 Appliance: Model JS998S0K3SS Oven control panel and display board inoperative I have a GE JS998S0K3SS slide-in range with Trivection oven. The display stopped working and oven controls were nonresponsive. Electric cooktop was still working. In my case the problem is the Main Power Board, part number WB27T10551, You do not have to pull the range out to replace this. To fix: Turn off the breaker Remove the cooktop control knobs. Remove the three plastic and one brass holder that are behind the control knobs. Lift the faceplate, remove the electric connector, set faceplate aside. Remove the four screws holding the panel. Lift the panel, disconnect all the connectors, set it aside Remove the ten silver screws holding the black trim that the control panel was mounted on. There are five at the top and five underneath that are visible when you open the oven door. Set aside the black trim. Remove the two black screws holding the cooktop in place. One front left, other front right. Set aside the cooktop. The main power board is the large PCB with heat sinks on the right towards the rear. To verify it is broken you need a voltmeter. At the rear right of the board (top left in the picture of the board on this site) there is a black, white, and red wire, plugged into ports J101,J102, J103. Disconnect all three. Turn the power back on. Verify 120VAC between J101 and J103 wires Verify 120VAC between J102 and J103 wires. If this test passes, turn off power, reconnect wires. Disconnect connector J3 which is on the front left of the installed board (bottom right in picture of the board on this site). Turn power back on. Verify +12VDC between J3 pin 1 and pin2 Verify +5VDC between J3 pin 3 and pin 2 Verify -14VDC between J3 pin 5 and pin 2. If tests fails replace the board. To replace the board: Turn off the power Disconnect the electrical connectors. The board is sitting on about 12 hold-down pins. Use a small diameter deep-well socket to squeeze the pins and gently lift the board off each. Getting all the pins to line up under the new board is a pain. Gently push the new board down into place. Keith C Victor , ID March 24, 2014 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range JS998SK3SS The electronic display and interior oven lights were not working. i believe this happened after a power outage, then possible power surge when power was brought back online by the power company. I searched the net with my GE Trivection oven model # JS998SK3SS and symptoms and found this thread. http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/37269-Profile-Oven-display-is-blank-and-oven-light-does-not-come-on Even though their oven was a different model # than my oven the part they replaced that made it work again was the same as mine. I didn't have the ability to do all the testing they did but the symptoms were exactly the same. so without delay i ordered the part from APP received it in 2 days installed it in about an hour and boom, my oven works again. The part is pretty expensive but so was this oven, so i bit the bullet and got it up and running. Andrew K Great Neck , NY January 14, 2016 No power to oven or control panel only lower oven light worked After typing with a tech from your company, they suggested that I purchase the panel control board, which I did. After plugging in and not making a difference. I returned, which is why I purchased from AppliancePartsPro. Your company is the only one that allowed me to return a part that wasn't needed. Continued to do more research and after reading a blog I tested main power board and found that to be the issue. Ordered board from AppliancePartsPro, installed and oven works perfectly. William A Lancaster , CA February 22, 2016 Appliance: Model JT980SOK2SS I have no power to my display or upper oven on my dual of introduction convection ge profile A friend and I took the unit out of the wall started to troubleshoot and look for obvious signs on the circuit boards I knew I had voltage coming into the unit but could not get the display to come on or the lights in the upper oven the lower oven did have lights inside. So after inspecting all the connections checking voltage we traced it to the power board and I noticed a small electronic component that was screwed on to one of the large heat sinks was cracked and a piece of the plastic laying on the circuit board. That's when I called appliance parts in order a new power board it took about 3 days I installed it tested it everything is working again and I'm back in business now they learn to cook... thank you appliance parts pros for having the part of ailable and even though I think is expensive it was reasonable.
