William C Bonaire , GA June 15, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer GFDN240EL0WW My GE dryer was dead in the water, pressing the power button wouldn't turn it on I have a background in electronics repair. I checked the power board and found out there was no 12 volts DC coming out of the unit. The 12 volts powers the various relays. It also goes to the power switch and other switches on the front user interface panel. Using my multi meter there was 110 volts coming in and nothing going out so I decided to replace the power pcb. It arrived within 3 days. I turned off the power and installed it and now my dryer works! My wife is so happy! No more trips to the laundromat. One word of warning, if you don't have experience working on energized circuits like I have call a appliance repairman! Read More...
