Merle D Tucson , AZ August 15, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Microwave SCB1000MWW001 Our microwave stopped working the only indication of power was the turntable would rotate with the door closed ther were no other visible signs of power to the unit I contacted Appliance Parts Pros, and told them what the problem was and what it was doing. They sent me an email with the parts number needed to complete the repair. This was a built in a cabinet unit and I required help removing it and reinstalling it. The repair was relative easy once I had the parts and it took approximately four hours,. It took longer getting to the defective parts than replacing them. I'm not an appliance repairman so I really did take my time doing this project. William M Roanoke , VA April 10, 2022 Appliance: General Electric Microwave SCB1001MSS001 Dead in the water GE Advantium 120 microwave/convection oven, manufactured March 2008. Worked great every day for 14 years. Then the display flickered and bounced all over. Replaced the digitron. No joy. The keypad also stopped working and the appliance only hummed when power was restored (no matter how long the circuit breaker was turned off). Then nothing worked at all. Replaced the power board, the two power board sub-assemblies, the relay board, and the transformer (after 14 years, I figured if two or more major electronic parts failed, the others were likely to do so in the near future). The unit still looks brand new inside and out, and now works like it again for a fraction of the cost of replacing it (which would have been a waste) or paying someone to repair it. William M Seabrook , TX September 07, 2025 Appliance: General Electric Microwave PSB1001NSS01 No power Replaced blown fuse and relay board, which was scorched. Power back on and control functions working, but fuse blew again when attempting to cook. Bought a cheap multimeter and tested transformer, high-voltage diode, and magnetron for shorts. All good. Didn’t want to test the 2100V high-voltage capacitor (shocks are not fun), so just bought a new one and a new fuse. Installed and oven fixed. Read More...
