Paul R Los Gatos , CA October 17, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Microwave PEM31SM1SS My ge profile microwave oven went dead no display no light The microwave suddenly stopped working. No display, no light, nothing. After opening up the microwave I checked the fuse, fire sensor and thermal overload with a continuity tester. They all checked out. With the microwave plugged in and not running, I checked voltage at several points. It was clear that the main control board was getting voltage but it was not turning anything on. I took out the control board and saw a spot where the board had obviously overheated so I concluded it was the board and ordered a new one. Once the board came in, it only took a few minutes to install and test.... It is now working fine. I removed the casing of the microwave. I plugged in the new motherboard (about 6-7 connections) and it still wasn't working. I called Appliancepartspros and the kind gentleman helped me figure out the problem, one connection wasn't in all the way. My microwave works! This is my best shopping experience in years!
