Steve D Paso Robles , CA May 15, 2020 Dishwasher wouldn't fill after a mouse ate thru rubber inlet sump cover never saw water on floor just finally stopped filling looked underneath and saw water going on floor. Ordered new sump cover to fix leak. Also noticed power cord insulation was eaten to bare wire, luckily didn't start fire. Runs like new now. Richard R Cumming , GA February 24, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher GLD5500L00WW Holes in part Mice chewed two small holes in the sump inlet. I replaced the part and discovered they had chewed holes in all the hoses as well. Replacing the sump inlet was pretty easy. I had to replace/splice the hoses in order to stop all the leaks. The repair should have taken about 30 min but ended up taking almost 2 hours because of the unseen damage to the hoses. Read More...
