The Sump Overmold Service Kit is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It includes the sump and filter assembly that collects food debris and drains water at the bottom of the dishwasher. This over-molded, tightly-sealed design removes soils and prevents leaks.
Causes of failure can be cracks, chips, or splits to the sump overmold due to excessive mineral buildup, high heat, or other wear over time. Foreign objects entering the sump area may also damage the filter mesh.
