Gary L St Louis , MI February 23, 2021 Dual electric burner. We could not control temperature, suspected the burner switch was bad. I got online and found AppliancePartsPros.com. I found others had the same problem, and had replaced the switch, with my model number your rep got me the exact switch and a video on how to change it. It took approx 15-20 min . was very happy with the service, will use again in future if needed. David W Hastings , NE December 26, 2019 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range JB655DK1WW Broken shaft on control knob 1) Unplug the range and move it out from the wall so both the front and back are accessible. 2) Remove the control panel. There are two screws in the front, one under each end. A shorty Phillips screwdriver is handy here. On the back, find the four 1/4-inch hex-heads that hold the panel. The two on the end must be removed; the two in the middle could be loosened, but I found it just as easy to remove them and get them out of the way. 3) To free the controller itself, remove the two Phillips screws next to the shaft on the front of the panel. 4) This controller has a total of six wires. To avoid confusion (especially since I am color blind), I transferred them from the old to the new one at a time. 5) Put everything back together. Marian P Roseburg , OR October 28, 2024 Appliance: General Electric Free Standing Electric Range JB750SJ9SS Burner was stuck on high Watched a video. Unscrewed approximately 49000 screws, 30 seconds to switch out the part, reinsert all the screws. Most of the time was selecting the proper socket. It could have been a one-person job, but the extra hands to hold stuff made it easier. Five star experience because I have so few repair wins historically, so I'm clutching this to my little black heart.
