Description

This mechanical dryer timer controls cycle selection and advances internal switches to run heating and motor circuits, letting you choose timed drying cycles and automatic transitions. Replaces a worn or non-advancing timer to restore cycle control. What it does:

• Selects and advances dryer cycles by rotating internal cams and switching circuits
• Starts and stops motor and heating circuits according to the chosen cycle
• Resolves symptoms like a timer that won't turn, dryer not advancing through cycles, or inability to select timed cycles
• Works as the user-facing control for timed and some automatic drying functions

Install notes:

• Disconnect power (and shut off gas supply on gas dryers) before beginning any work
• Remove the control console or access panel to reach the timer; note knob/shaft alignment for reassembly

• After reinstalling, restore power and run a short cycle to confirm proper function
