Deanna M Frankfort , KY January 30, 2016 Appliance: Model GEDRYER Timer was broken Ordered new timer. Unplugged dryer. Gently pulled off the front knob. Removed the 6 screws to remove the back panel. Why does one need 6 screws to attach the back top panel? Then it was a matter of lifting out the old timer, removing the electrical connections from old timer and placing them on the new timer in the same place, and placing the new timer where the old one was. Replaced the back panel with the same 6 screws, replaced the knob on the front, and it was done. Easy. Removing and replacing the 6 screws was the longest part of the whole job. And it required both a Phillips AND a regular screw driver. Insane. 20 minutes. Plus an extra 15 minutes to clean up the nasty stuff on the floor under the dryer.
