Frances H Jupiter , FL January 26, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Refrigerator GSS25JERFBB Water valve for ice maker and cold water dispenser was leaking at the outlet connection I went to appliancepartspros.com and located a new valve. I watched the installation video for the valve and determined that I could do it myself so I ordered the part. It arrived in two days and installation was just as seen in the video. Leak fixed! The tips given in the video such as using a razor blade to get a clean, square cut on the water line were especially helpful in getting a successful outcome. While installing the valve I noticed the fan was not blowing air through the condenser coil. The confidence I gained installing the valve helped me remove the fan, give it a few drops of PB Blaster to free it up, and a few drops of sewing machine oil to lube it. I put the fan back in and it worked fine. Stephen N Cape Coral , FL January 07, 2023 Appliance: Model GSSZZJERF WW Leaks and dribbles water into the freezer. I had some guests staying at my condo when they called to say that my GE refrigerator was leaking and they couldn't stop it. Once I finally began troubleshooting I found several issues: 1) The plastic water line exiting the incoming water solenoid had cracked near the compressor where it gets hot. Once this was fixed, I heard dripping in the freezer indicating water flowing into the icemaker when it shouldn't be. I purchased a new Fill Valve and a coupler and they arrived quickly. Installed the valve and spliced the cracked line with a union connector and now all is well. The whole repair took about an hour. Thanks, AppliancePartsPros.com for the excellent website. The drawings, parts lists, troubleshooting guides, and customer feedback all contributed to my ability to understand the systems, troubleshoot, and get the parts I need quickly. Read More...
