Renae M Kettering , OH December 31, 2018 Appliance: General Electric Dishwasher PDWT580P00SS Very loud drying cycle My very quiet dishwasher suddenly started to be very loud during the drying cycle. It sounded like a bad motor, so I hopped onto this site to find a replacement. Using the drawing was helpful to find the drying parts. I was 99% sure it was the blower motor assembly, but purchase the vent driver assembly as well.... Mostly because I wasn't sure what the vent dryer assembly did (which it appears to be a small motor that opens and closes the drying vent door). Installation was extremely easy, remove the front of the door screws on the inside (don't forget the two at the bottom of the door), unplug the motor, remove the housing with the motor attached, replace the motor, and then put everything back together. The vent dryer is even easier, it's one screw and the power cable. Put the door front back on (there two little plastic pieces up top, mine fell down when I unscrewed them). Then turn the power back on. Very simple fix. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set
